How to troubleshoot TightVNC error messages ?

When using remote control with TightVNC, I get miscellaneous error messages. Some of them prevent me for establishing the remote connection, others occuring during the remote session and stopping right now the remote control.

Here is a list of the main error messages that could be obtained when using remote control with TightVNC, along with  the  procedure to be followed in order to resolve this issue.

• How to troubleshoot "The WinVNC service couldn't be correctly installed on XXX" message ?

• How to troubleshoot "ReadExact : Socket error while reading" or "WriteExact : Socket error while writing" message ?
• How to troubleshoot "The VMRC connection could not be established because protocol version 3.6 or later is required" message ?

• How to troubleshoot "This server does not have a valid password enabled. Until a password is reset, incoming connections cannot be accepted" message ?
