General Information

Can we manage W9x / Me workstations?

I've always got Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows 98 SE and Windows Me machines on my network.

Can we manage these workstations using your tool like we can with NT boxes?

These operating systems were not built in the MS labs with remote administration in mind. So, you can't fully administer these machines.

This being said, you can take remote control of them using the remote control engine included within your software (TightVNC).

In order to do that, you first need to download our free runtime "TightVNC + Zebedee" available on our web site : http://www.pointdev.com/en/free

Install this runtime on each remote box and restart. At the first startup, please fill in the password TightVNC will ask you when you try to remote control these boxes.

Once made, you'll be able to remote control these machines like any other machine existing on your network.
