The Security Center manages to protect computers on your network. You can remotely access the properties and configure Windows Firewall, add/modify/delete rules, or configure User Account Control (UAC).
It is now possible to display any property of a WMI class in the right view or in the left view: Tools menu, Options, Displayed properties tab.
WMI classes added manually in the WMI configuration (Tools menu, Options, WMI, Configure) can be exported to database with the Database Exporter tool. Database Exporter is used to configure and program exports to databases (Inventory menu, Database Exporter).
Contacts management (Active Directory): contacts from AD are displayed in the container Domain users in the left view, and in the users list in the right view. You can add/modify/delete a contact
Hotfixes management: hotfixes installed on a Windows Vista, Windows 2008 Server or Windows 7 computer can be displayed : Right click on a computer, Properties, Hotfixes tab. Exporting hotfixes in database has also been fixed.
IDEAL Administration has been freshed up! The new tabs system enables to simultaneous display several views over your domain(s). You can also display other kinds of tabs, in order to quickly reach our online FAQ, our forum, or a web site.
Your tabs are automatically saved and restored when running again IDEAL Administration.
The tabs system can be easily set and can be accessed from the Tools menu, Options, Tabs.

Fixed wallpaper restoration problem that may occurs on some Windows 7 hosts.

User name displayed in the title bar of the TightVNC Viewer during a session on the remote host, as well as the remote host's IP address.
User's wallpaper restored at the end of remote control. Wallpaper removal (gaining speed) can be configured under Tools, Options..., TightVNC Settings, Security tab, Remove wallpaper.
NetBIOS computer name and user name displayed, as well as the IP address, when remote control authorization is requested. This makes it possible to be much more explicit when authorization is requested. These display options can be fully customized (by default, only the NetBIOS name and IP address will be displayed). Tools menu, Options..., TightVNC Settings, Authorization tab.
WinVNC icon displayed on the distant host. The tooltip has been modified to display only the configured information: IP address, computer name and user name. This option can be configured using the Tools menu, Options..., TightVNC Settings, Security tab, Hide TightVNC icon.
IDEAL Administration now manages Windows SQL Server and stores database inventories directly on this type of servers. To do this, you must create an SQL server user data source using the ODBC data source administrator and configure it in IDEAL Administration: Tools menu, Options..., Database

Automatic execution of predefined commands using the remote command prompt. You can run scripts or DOS commands on all PCs in the network. Examples: IPConfig /all, IPConfig /Release, Tracert %computername%. To do this, select the PC(s) concerned, right-click with the mouse and choose the Command Prompt Tools item. You can define your own commands using the Tools menu, Options..., Command Prompt Tools tab.
Display tooltips by hovering the cursor over certain buttons. You can disable this option using the Tools menu, Options...,General tab, Display Tooltips item.
Automatic control for the new product versions. You can configure this option by the menu File, Configuration, New versions. You can also manually verify if a new version is available or not by the menu ?, Verify if new version...
Filter creation for domain computer displaying based on operating system, Organizational Unit, or computer name. To configure, create, or remove the filters: click on the icon (toolbar).
Execute the Win32_NetworkAdapterConfigurer WMI Class on several computers. This function allows you to modify the network properties on several computers at once: Network Mask, WINS server, etc. To use this option, right click on computer, WMI Properties, and select the Win32_NetworkAdapterConfigurer class.
IDEAL Directory : MS-DOS Command Prompt on remote stations. Right click on computer, and then Command Prompt.
Remote Command Prompt. It is now possible to run the MS-DOS command prompt on remote computers, by right-clicking on the computer, then selecting Command Prompt. When logging in, you can configure the user account as well as the default directory: File menu > Configuration > Command Prompt.
Domain computer filtering based on operating system, Organizational Unit, or computer name. This function allows you, for example, a right view list of only the servers and workstations in a particular Organizational Unit. These filters can be configured by domain and are saved on exiting the program. To configure the filters: click on the icon (right view).
Management of WMI Methods that allow the modification and reading of WMI Classes. Now you can rename a PC remotely, change the network configuration, create a process, etc. To do this, select the WMI Properties of a PC, right-click on a property of the list, and choose whichever method you prefer.
Display of the NetBIOS Comment, Active Directory Comment and Role properties on the left and right views. You can change the display order of these new properties by using the File > Configuration > Displayed Properties tab. They are displayed by default at the end of the list.
