How to use artificial intelligence (AI) in IDEAL ADMININISTRATION?

Using Cloud AI in our software

Do IDEAL ADMINISTRATION and IDEAL REMOTE use artificial intelligence?

Yes.

Since versions IDEAL ADMINISTRATION 26 and IDEAL REMOTE 26, the software include Cloud artificial intelligence features designed to assist administrators in analyzing and understanding their Active Directory environment.

The AI acts exclusively as a decision-support tool and never performs any automatic action on the domain.

➡️ Is the AI enabled automatically?

No.
The use of Cloud AI is disabled by default.

Its activation must be explicitly validated by an administrator from within the software interface.

Without this validation:

• no data is transmitted,
• no AI request is performed,
• no Internet communication is initiated.

➡️ Which features use Cloud AI?

Cloud AI can be used in two specific cases:

• Active Directory Questions / Answers
  • receive best-practice recommendations,
  • understand AD concepts,
  • obtain technical explanations,
  • ask questions using natural language.
• Intelligent analysis of Active Directory alerts
  • risk level assessment,
  • identification of probable causes,
  • proposal of corrective actions,
  • interpretation of the alert context.

These features are independent and remain entirely optional.

➡️ Does the AI have direct access to my Active Directory?

No.
The AI has no direct access to:

• the Active Directory domain,
• domain controllers,
• servers,
• user accounts,
• databases,
• or Windows event logs.

It cannot read or query your infrastructure.

➡️ What data is sent to Cloud AI?

Only information that is strictly necessary to process the request:

• for a question: the text entered by the administrator.
• for an alert: a technical summary of the alert (type, level, rule, detected values).

No automatic transmission of the Active Directory directory is performed.

➡️ Are my domain data sent outside?

No.
IDEAL ADMINISTRATION never transmits your entire directory.

Only the elements voluntarily provided by the administrator in the request are transmitted to the Cloud AI service.

➡️ Are AI responses stored?

Yes.
The responses generated by the AI are:

• stored locally in the database,
• available for later consultation,
• searchable,
• exportable.

No response is stored on an external server.

➡️ Is the context of previous questions retained?

No.
Each question is processed independently.

The context of previous exchanges is not automatically transmitted to the AI.

This ensures:

• improved confidentiality,
• full control over transmitted data,
• consistent responses,
• no unintended interpretation.

➡️ Can the AI perform automatic actions?

No.
The AI cannot:

• modify Active Directory objects,
• create or delete accounts,
• change configuration settings,
• trigger scripts,
• execute system actions.

It only provides:

• explanations,
• analyses,
• recommendations.

The decisions and actions remain entirely under the administrator’s control.

➡️ Can questions be about something other than Active Directory?

No.
The Cloud AI Questions / Answers feature is designed to answer questions related only to Microsoft Active Directory and its administration.

Requests about other topics (general IT, scripting, office tools, networking, etc.) are not supported in this context.

This limitation ensures answers that are more relevant, focused on AD administration, and consistent with the purpose of IDEAL ADMINISTRATION or IDEAL REMOTE.

➡️ Is an Internet connection required?

Yes.
Cloud AI requires outbound Internet access from the application.

Without a connection:

• AI features are simply unavailable,
• the software continues to function normally for all other features.

➡️ Is an additional subscription required?

No.
The use of Cloud AI is included in the IDEAL ADMINISTRATION or IDEAL REMOTE license.

No external subscription is required.

➡️ Does the AI respect the philosophy of IDEAL ADMINISTRATION and IDEAL REMOTE?

Yes.
AI features were designed to respect the product’s core principles:

• agentless administration
• full administrator control
• no automatic actions
• no dependency on AI for software operation
• local security and traceability

The AI acts as a complement, never as a replacement for the administrator.
