Windows Active Directory object and security (ACL) migration

Group members are not transferred when migrating user groups

I've just successfully migrated some user groups from my NT4 source domain to my target Windows 2003 domain (without any error messages).

Despite this, I've noticed that the migrated users do not appear in the groups.

Why?

When you migrate user groups with the User group migration option, you do not transfer the members belonging to these groups.

To do that, you have to use the Member migration option.

For more details, see Members belonging to user groups in the product on-line help.
