How to use artificial intelligence (AI) in software?

Use Cloud Artificial Intelligence to ask questions about Active Directory

Does IDEAL ADMINISTRATION include artificial intelligence features that allow querying Active Directory, and how can they be used?

Yes. IDEAL ADMINISTRATION 26 (and later) integrates artificial intelligence features that allow querying Active Directory directly from the software.

This feature, based on Cloud AI, allows you to ask questions in natural language about Active Directory in order to obtain clear, structured, and actionable technical answers.

The AI can be used to:

  • better understand how Active Directory works,
  • obtain explanations about technical concepts (accounts, groups, GPOs, security, replication, etc.),
  • interpret situations or events related to the directory,
  • benefit from recommendations and administration best practices.

To use this feature, simply click on the new AI icon in the toolbar or:

  • by using the menu Tools ? Ask Cloud AI
  • then entering your question in natural language.

The answers provided by the AI are stored locally in a database, allowing you to:

  • review the question and answer history,
  • perform searches,
  • maintain traceability of the information obtained.

The AI has no direct access to your Active Directory and performs no automatic actions.
It acts exclusively as an aid to understanding and decision-making, with the administrator retaining full control of the environment.

An Internet connection is required to query Cloud AI, and the service subscription is included in IDEAL ADMINISTRATION 26.


➡️ Are my data sent outside?

Only the question asked is sent to the AI service in order to obtain a response.
IDEAL ADMINISTRATION does not automatically transmit your entire Active Directory directory.

The responses are then stored locally for later consultation.


➡️ Does the AI have direct access to my Active Directory?

No.
The AI has no direct access to your Active Directory, servers, or internal data.
It relies solely on the information you provide in your question.


➡️ Can I choose the level of detail of the responses?

Yes.
Three response modes are available:

  • Concise: short and synthetic response,
  • Detailed: explanatory response,
  • Expert: in-depth response oriented toward advanced administration.

➡️ Is an Internet connection required?

Yes.
An Internet connection from the application is required to query the Cloud AI service.


➡️ Is a specific subscription required to use this feature?

No.
The Cloud AI service subscription is included in IDEAL ADMINISTRATION 26.
No additional subscription is required.


➡️ Does the AI replace the administrator?

No.
The AI is designed as an assistant:

  • it explains,
  • it helps understanding,
  • it guides thinking.

Decisions and actions remain entirely under the administrator’s control.


➡️ Can this feature be used in sensitive environments?

Yes.
The feature has been designed for professional use:

  • no automatic actions,
  • no direct access to the domain,
  • local traceability of questions and answers.

➡️ What should I do if an answer does not seem appropriate?

The answers provided should be considered as an aid to analysis.
It is recommended to:

  • cross-check the information with your internal practices,
  • verify the parameters of your environment,
  • use the AI as a support, not as a single source.
