Overview

What is an alert in waiting ?

What is an alert in waiting ?

How does this waiting system work ?

When an alert is scheduled and the installation phase has failed because of connection problems with the target workstation, the alert can be placed in waiting if an alert agent is already installed on the target workstation.

When the computer concerned is started up, and if the IAlerterAgent is present, a dialogue is established between the alert server and the agent in order to determine whether an alert is in waiting. If this is the case, the alert server reschedulesthe installation of the alert.

This waiting system can be configured in the installation properties of an alert.
