How to troubleshoot the "Windows can't open Add Printer. Operation could not be completed" message?

When i try to add remotely, through your software, a network printer on a computer, I receive the following error message : "Windows can't open Add Printer. Operation could not be completed (error 0x0000007e)."

Therefore the Add Printer Wizard is not launched.

What can I do ?

"Windows can't open Add Printer. Operation could not be completed (error 0x0000007e)." is a native message of Microsoft Windows Operating System and is not directly related to Pointdev software.

You can receive this message when your computer is running a 64-bit version of Windows 7 or of Windows Server 2008 R2.

A supported hotfix is available from Microsoft and it can be downloaded :

After requesting this hotfix download, you will receive an email containing a download link and the password.

You may have to restart the computer after you apply this hotfix.
